About Loop Mission

It all started in 2016 with a problem that needed to be solved : one of a major produce distributor in Canada, was throwing away more than 20 tons of produce every single day. Those fruits and veggies were still good for consumption but discarded due to shelf-life issues or just based on aesthetic criteria such as look, size and shape.
 
LOOP Mission is the world-leading circular economy in the food industry. Our mission is to reduce
food waste by adding value to rejected food. The concept is simple: restore value to rejected fresh fruits and vegetables by transforming them into high-value products such as cold-pressed juices, smoothies, iced teas, probiotic sodas, and more.
 
Loop Mission

The more the company grows, the more food we divert from landfills. Since 2016, we estimate having rescued over 45 million pounds of fruits and veggies. The craziest part is that we receive most of this food when it’s just ripe enough to be sold in grocery stores but already too advanced to enter the long distribution cycle, making it perfect for our beverages.
