Our Founder

Jessica Murgittroyd embarked on her culinary journey at just 10 years old, selling handmade cookies to her classmates. In 2019, she founded Root Nine Baking Co, a bakery company dedicated to making the best tasting clean-label vegan treats. Jess believes that plant-based eating is not only delicious but also better for the environment. Through her work, Jessica aims to introduce more people to the benefits of plant-based eating with classic treats that taste even better than traditional options.
